About Shunshine Corner
Why “shunshine?” This silly mispronunciation originated in my childhood with my late grandma. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome and unconditionally loved. The word shunshine evokes some of the happiest memories of my life and reminds me to be silly, creative, and self-loving. Sharing this joy with others is my passion project and my dream.

Hi, I’m Jen
I am a Registered Vet Tech, a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Internal Medicine, and Veterinary Practice Manager. Over 17 years of experience has left me with a lot of love for my field and a lot of challenges to overcome.
I’ve learned that growth doesn’t come from pretending everything’s ok. It comes from being honest with yourself and choosing to keep showing up even when it’s hard. That’s why I created Still Showing Up Vet Tech.
I’ve also learned growth requires space. Having a creative outlet keeps me grounded and reminds me to connect with myself and others. That’s why I created Shunshine Corner.
